New At This!

Well, since this is my first ever posting on a blog, mine or anyone else's, I am obviously new at this. I guess I can give you a run down of our family, in case you haven't been in contact with us for a little while.

Lee is in his very last semester here at Utah State University. He will graduate on May 3rd. We are so glad he is just about done! His major has ended up being Statistics. He is currently taking his last general class (apparently not everything from Weber transferred up). It is an Art Symposium class. He has to attend 20 concerts and write a paper about each one. We joke that this is the date night class, I have been able to go to most of the events with him and it has been really fun to spend some time together. Lee is working at DuPont. If you don't think you know what that is, think Teflon and Tyvek and the red oval logo. He has been off the production line and at a desk for about a year now. He just enjoyed a weekend mountain biking in Moab.

Becca stays home as much as a stay-at-home mom stays home. It is not as crazy right now as it has been in the past. (Tyler and Andrew have done swimming lessons, Tyler was in t-ball, and then Tyler and Andrew were in soccer.) I volunteer at Hillcrest elementary on Monday mornings, and teach an art class to the four kindergarten classes about once a month. I am expecting in October and not feeling horrible, but not wonderful either. I should be washing dishes or folding laundry right now (as I write this, and also again as you read this).

Tyler is six and attends kindergarten at Hillcrest. He thinks it should be summer and not snowing today. Sometimes he says he doesn't need to go to school anymore, because he doesn't learn anything...he thinks he knows it all. But most of the time he enjoys it and will happily go. (Lots better than his last year of preschool!) He does very well in Math, but doesn't think he likes it because they are supposed to do the work all together as a class, he always does it on his own and then sometimes gets in trouble.

Andrew is three but thinks he should be six. He is sweet and loves, get this, cleaning the toilet, and doing the dishes. He earns a gummy worm every time he does it too. Actually, Tyler and Andrew often fight over who cleans the toilet. There is more than one reason it will be nice to have a home with more than one bathroom. He is a Sunbeam at church and loves singing time. In fact, he was in charge of the lesson today for Family Home Evening and taught us some of his Primary songs. He also loves to say prayers. We have often had more than one prayer for the food at mealtimes. He likes it when we get to walk to pick Tyler up from school. He usually runs.

Emma is 18 months old and is very cute, but has gotten a bit of an attitude. It is actually pretty funny to watch her run into my room and pull my purse, diaper bag, and scriptures off the back of the door knob, just so she can "slam" the door to make her point. She likes to flirt and play peek-a-boo too, but what she loves is to give high fives. In fact, I am a bit worried for her to start going to nursery because if she holds up her hand for a high five and you don't hold up your hand in a timely manner, she will still follow through...so she will be hitting the other kids.

We have very much outgrown our two bedroom apartment in the student family housing area of Aggie Village, but with Lee and Tyler getting done with school in May, we will be moving on. We just don't know where we will be going yet.
